Project Art Works has used Polaroid film as a structural tool for deepening engagement in the creative process. The magical nature of watching, as an image appears and the mechanics, sound and action of the camera always generate excitement.
The Polaroids in this collection were taken by participants, artists and collaborators during projects and workshops over thirteen years, from 1998 to 2011.
To protect the privacy of artists, staff, and participants featured in this collection, many Polaroids have undergone anonymisation and redaction using image blurring.
