The following collections document some of Project Art Works’ early projects and activities, from 1996 to 2012.
While this part of the digital archive is currently incomplete, work is underway to accession, catalogue, and present a lot more material which complements what’s already here. Together, these records reflect not only the story of Project Art Works, but also the broader societal changes in the lives of people with learning disabilities over the last 20+ years, spanning the closure of long-stay hospitals, the introduction of Personal Budgets, and government policy such as Valuing People Now.
